For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

Romans 1: 20

Here are some of the common themes that are expressed in our culture today:

God is distant

God is distracted

God is an abstraction

There is no God

Yet, when God formed the universe, at the time that He breathed life into this world; He left Himself in all of it. Look closely at the variety and the exquisite detail in flowers; consider the diversity of taste, texture, growing environment, and abundance of fruit; look into the sky and you can see the majesty of the Creator. There is so much more; birds, fish, other animals, insects, and micro organisms; they all work in balance to achieve an on going and sustainable world. Then think about the complexity of DNA coding and the wonder of speech and language. The mark of the Creator is on everything. Nothing is random and nothing is happenstance.

All that surrounds us and all that we are were designed by God to serve one eternal purpose; all of creation demonstrates the very existence of God, and everything is a part of a portrait that depicts His intimate involvement and total engagement with this world. However, creation’s primary purpose is to draw people to the Lord; every aspect of this world speaks of His loving nature and about His everlasting might; for, everything was designed to point people to God.

Look at the extraordinary colors and the intricate texture of the tapestry that is life’s backdrop, and listen to the symphony whose voice is found in everything from the stars to the rustling of grass. When you look closely at the fine detail and the unique beauty of each piece of human sculpture, you see God. The God that I know is engaged in every aspect of this life, He pays attention to each moment of my day, and He is tangible and more real than anyone or anything. The God that I see is the Lord of all creation, and His presence fills the universe!
